Announcing GeoHab 2012

Since 2001, GeoHab (Marine Geological and Biological Habitat Mapping) has brought together scientists working on marine geological and biological mapping and announces the 2012 GeoHab conference. The conference will be 1 -4 May, 2012 at the Rosario Resort on Washington's Orcas Island. This year's conference will focus on the development of new methodologies to map the marine environment to better support sustainable ocean management. This year's conference is hosted by SeaDoc/Tombolo and the Canadian Geological Survey and is convened by H. Gary Greene and Vaughn Barrie. To pre-register, see the SeaDoc Society website. CPC Sponsors Workshop on Ocean Renewable Energy Development

The CPC will be co-sponsoring and co-hosting a workshop, 2 May, 2011, on “Mapping the Seafloor for Ocean Renewable Energy Development” at the Geological Survey of Finland, Helsinki, Finland.
