Upon the invitation of Seabed 2030, the Circum-Pacific Council has assured their support of the Seabed 2030 mapping program. The CPC will primarily assist in identifying available bathymetric data that is useful to the initiative, as well as data gaps that need to be filled.
To facilitate this endeavor the CPC Directors proposed at their 2018 meeting in Santa Barbara, California to organize workshops that may be useful in bringing together the marine seafloor mapping community to discuss and propose ways the resultant data can be used for the common good of marine science.
